Infiniti - What's New for 2015
As Infiniti approaches its 25th anniversary in November 2014, the contrast between then and now is remarkable. Plans have been announced to expand the current product portfolio by 60 percent in the next five years, along with doubling the number of powertrains.
Infiniti's vision for the future continues to emphasize fresh independent thinking, just like it did 25 years ago. With concept vehicles like the Infiniti Q30 Concept and powerful Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge offering a preview of things to come, Infiniti will continue to bring to market vehicles defined by emotive design, meticulous attention to detail, unsurpassed hospitality and intuitive technology. And, as Infiniti's global market presence continues to expand, so does its global manufacturing footprint with China and the United Kingdom joining production sites in the United States and Japan. In addition, leveraging strategic alliances - such as that with Daimler AG - will lead to collaboration on advanced research and development of key technologies and their applications. For example, in June 2014 assembly of a 4-cylinder engine for use in Infiniti and Mercedes-Benz vehicles began the new Infiniti Decherd Powertrain Plant. |
Major Product Line Extensions for the 2015 Model Year
Following the addition of the all-new Infiniti Q50 in 2014 and the introduction of a new definitive Infiniti design language, the strong product momentum continues for 2015 with the addition of two unique model extensions.
The new 2015 Infiniti QX80 Limited becomes the most premium SUV ever offered by the brand. So fully equipped that there are zero available options, the all-wheel drive QX80 Limited features unique dark finish exterior and interior treatments, new Truffle Brown semi-aniline interior appointments and a full suite of advanced luxury and safety technologies. It will be available in late 2014.
The 2015 Infiniti Q70 performance luxury sedan lineup also expands, literally, with the arrival of the new Q70L - a long-wheelbase version of Infiniti's flagship sedan with an additional 5.9 inches of rear seat legroom. Designed for buyers looking for the cabin space of a sporty utility in a luxury sedan, the new Q70L becomes available in fall 2014.
Both the 2015 Q70 and QX80 also receive updated exterior styling for all models. Infiniti's pioneer technologies, such as Predictive Forward Collision Warning (PFCW) and Backup Collision Intervention (BCI), also have expanded availability for the 2015 model year. And, the previous Infiniti G37 Sedan is now named the Infiniti Q40.
Once again in 2015, all Infiniti vehicles come with Infiniti Personal Assistant™, a live 24/7 personal concierge service, included free of charge for the first four years of ownership. It's part of Infiniti's Total Ownership Experience®, which promises a uniquely enjoyable buying and ownership experience - supported by features such as service loan cars, roadside assistance and trip interruption benefits.
